Jovan Babic
Jova Babic, a long-standing journalist and Editor of the News Agency TANJUG, was born in 1934, in the village of Crni Lug near the town of Grahovo.
He finished elementary school in his village, Lower Grammar School in Drvar, Teacher's School in Banjaluka, and his studies in Sarajevo and Novi Sad.
As a journalist and publicist, he mostly and mos successfully dealt with reportage, feuilleton, and short stories, and he published them in newspapers, on the radio, television, in the novelists' and other publications all over former Yugolavia.
Many of his works have been awarded, some of wich are translated into foreign languages.
Apart from his publicist work, he wrote "The Road to Eternity" (Put u vjecnost), "The Rise of Gavrilo" (Uspenije Gavrilovo), and "Defense and Death"(Odbrana i smrt), and "The Everyday of Dying" (Svakodnevnica umiranja), and "Zdralovcani" are in the process of preparation for publishing.
He was awarded with the First and Second Prize of the former Bosnian and Herzegovinian Journalists' Association in 1980. and 1981. He is the member of the Journalists' Association on the Republic of Srpska and Republic of Serbia
